Phil Lalonde – Senior Counsel – Osuji & Smith Calgary Lawyers

Phil Lalonde is a Senior Counsel with Osuji & Smith. He has over 40 years of general litigation experience, and has appeared before the courts of Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, the Federal Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as professional regulatory and disciplinary bodies.

He practices primarily in the areas of contracts and corporate and commercial litigation, securities litigation, bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring, directors and officer’s liability and protection, professional negligence litigation and professional disciplinary matters.

He is a University of Toronto Law School graduate and practiced law in Ontario for the first 7 years of his career. He articled with Chief Justice Bora Laskin of the Supreme Court of Canada in1979-80. He has taught law at both the University of Toronto and the University of Calgary Law Schools.

Phil obtained Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), from the University of Toronto, and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Political Science and History from the University of Saskatchewan. He was admitted to Ontario Bar in 1981 and Alberta Bar in 1988.
