On Thursday, the Osuji & Smith Lawyers team came together to pull off the ultimate surprise for a man who has given so much to all of us—our Managing Partner, Dr. Charles Osuji.

For months, we worked quietly to create something truly meaningful: a video montage filled with love and admiration from friends and family across the world, from Nigeria to Korea, and of course heartfelt words from those closer to home who could join us in person. Every detail was planned with care, all to honor the man who never stops showing up—for his staff, his clients, and his community.

As Juliette said so beautifully in her speech, Charles celebrates every milestone in the lives of those around him. This time, it was our turn. Our turn to celebrate him.

This surprise party marked Charles’ 10th anniversary of being called to the Alberta bar—a journey defined by integrity, selflessness, and the relentless pursuit of lifting others.

Charles, this was for you—a man who shows up at every turn, who leads with heart, and who inspires us every day to be better.
