I highly recommend using this firm for all your legal needs. I retained them to sue my former employer after I was unlawfully terminated after 9 years of dedicated service. It was an extremely traumatic experience for me. My former employer and their defense team were extremely difficult to deal with, they fought against the lawsuit HARD. But in the end they were no match for the team at Osuji and Smith. I got the settlement I deserved, and more importantly to me , I received Justice. The process was very stressful at times for me , but I got nothing but poised professionalism from my Lawyer Amanda Ovaici, she is a true professional. I knew through the whole process that I was in good hands and had chosen the right firm.

Times can be rough for anyone and sadly in my personal experience, those closest to you can be the least interested in our sufferings. I have had an extremely difficult past few years and I can say honestly there are genuine, compassionate, caring individuals that are total strangers that are rebuilding my joy in living again. I reached out to Charles Osuji after carefully reading his reviews here and having other lawyers tell me to not bother and just search for another job. After the first meeting, I decided to hire Osuji and Smith go represent me in a case of constructive dismissal. My former employer made what you would describe as a lengthy, complicated process, which led to a wrongful dismissal case and a counter claim. Charles and his team were very supportive throughout this anxious process. To have someone attack your integrity is a hard mental toll. My team of lawyers ensured to explain me all the procedure and the possible outcome. As a Managing Partner, Charles was always involved in the case, responding to my emails and phone calls. If I could give a higher rating I would. Words cannot begin to explain the gratitude for the countless hours Charles and his team put into my case against my former employer. He was very helpful when it came to guiding me through what ended up being a very lengthy process. He and the team were wonderful when it came to explaining everything I needed to know about the particulars of my case to help ease my anxious mind going up against someone who made the process difficult more often than not. Charles always made me feel like a person in the process and not just another case to him. He was always very honest and direct with how I should proceed. He has been so amazing I have referred several people to him. My own daughter being one of them he referred her to Amanda Ovaici to help navigate her through her divorce process. A couple of the people I referred to check Charles out sat and met with him and Charles was very upfront about whether or not what they were presenting was worth their time and money being spent on moving forward legally. I have no experience to face a lawyer to ask for help, if I do need a lawyer, the best lawyer is a must. I spent a few hours to search a good lawyer online, Charles Osuji attracts my eyes. We did a video meeting first, I thought a big lawyer would be on the high ropes, on the contrary, he is approachable, kind, with good manners, his eyes light up with wisdom, his consultation gets to the point sharply. the short meeting with him, and my heart located back to the right position. I was furious, sad, stressed, frustrated, angry, mad so I did a little online research and Charles Osuji came up as one of the top Employment Lawyers in Alberta. I can't remember if I called or emailed but they replied right away. I am not going to tell you how good or bad he was but I will tell you what he delivered. I couldn't really afford a lawyer and I've never had a legal fight before, but it really bothered me how my former employer treated me so I decided to pay the circa $350 consultation fee to find out: 1. if I had a case and 2. how much my case was worth. The consultation was brief and to the point, and they gave me the answer I was looking for. But what really made me move forward with his services was the format of not having to pay anything up front and not be charged by the hour, but instead he will take a cut of the settlement. Calista and Charles guided me through the whole process and kept me in the loop every step of the way. In a matter of 11 months we agreed in a settlement just before trial and I got the compensation just a little more of what he anticipated we were going to get. Do I recommend them? Hands down hell yes! He is indeed good and the best of it justice was made and I hope that company learned their lesson.

What else can I say aside from the fact that Charles is the man! My wife had a case of Constructive Dismissal. Initially we had no idea what rights we had or where we could turn. I urgently needed an immigration form to be notarized so I contacted Charles via email. I was blown away by his immediate response and he arranged a time for me to come to the office, despite his tight schedule. I arrived the office at the appointed date and was warmly received by Sarah who helped me print the form which needed to be notarized.
