In the last 3 months, we have added 15 grounded, mature and experienced professionals to our rapidly growing law firm in Calgary. Some of these folks have moved provinces to help me build, challenge limits, and disrupt!
Clifford Andrew Sukhai has been called to the Bar in 5 jurisdictions (Trinidad & Tobago, England, Guyana, Saskatchewan and Alberta) and with over 20 years of experience under his belt.
Deborah Pearce has over 18 years of law experience, and licensed to practice in 3 provinces (BC, Ontario and Alberta). She is an expert in Family, Immigration, Criminal law and Personal Injury.
Juliette Ukpabi is an immigration law guru with an impeccable record in her immigration practice having successfully practiced in this area for many years.
Catherine Eseonu LLB, MA has many years of experience in immigration law plus international experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict resolution and has been called to the Nigerian Bar and Nunavut Bar.
Shannon Dinh is a family law rising star. She obtained her education from King’s University College, Ontario, and University of Leicester.
Chukwuemeka (Lyon) E. is a former law teacher/professor with many years of local and international regulatory, compliance and litigation experience under his belt (both Nigeria and Canada). Lyon holds double Masters in law.
Joshua Williams is a dual-qualified lawyer in the United Kingdom (Solicitor, England & Wales) and Nigeria, with experience in advisory work which spans a wide range of industry sectors including banking, real estate, entertainment & media, and financial services.
Imtiaz B. Hafiz, a former law teacher, obtained his LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, in 2012. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales from Lincoln’s Inn, London, in 2013.
David Miksha graduated from the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce and obtained his law degree at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
Oluchi Peter is an internationally trained lawyer from Nigeria with over 10 years post call. She is our newest articling student.
Shikha Shukla joined Osuji & Smith in 2022 as a Legal Strategist and the Interim Coordinator of the Foot in the Door Initiative (FIDI). An internationally trained lawyer from India, Shikha has experience litigating with prominent senior advocates at the Supreme Court of India in areas of civil and family laws.
Flora B. is currently the Office Manager and HR with Osuji & Smith Lawyers after many years in oil and gas.
Maheen Chaudhry, Ashley Adrian-Sauvé and Andrea Muise are our newest Legal Assistants.
