Administrative Assistant – Immigration Division
…Olha Senkovych is the Osuji & Smith’s Immigration Division’s Administrative Assistant, and she also provides Legal Assistance to the Immigration Lawyer Anzhela Said. This means she not only runs the day-to-day operations of the immigration office, but also supports all our Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish speaking clients.
She is a highly qualified philologist, graduated from the Kyiv National Linguistic University in 2004, demonstrating her language skills in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Polish. Starting her professional path in 2004, Olha began her career as a teacher at National Aviation University, where her innate curiosity and thirst for knowledge led her to research. In 2012, she successfully defended her PhD thesis on the Ukrainian language and obtained her PhD degree.
With a global perspective, Olha expanded her horizons, working in Spain and the USA. After returning to Ukraine, she took on a teaching role at Lviv Polytechnic University until she had to move to Calgary due to the war in her homeland. Olha honed has honed her skills in both administrative and legal fields.
Olha can boast of a rich and diverse set of skills, not limited to teaching a foreign language for different age groups. She is also actively involved in translation work and volunteering, in particular helping the Ukrainian community with immigration-related issues and preparing clients’ documents for notarization.
In addition to professional activities, Olha leads an active and bright lifestyle. She has a real passion for travel, cycling and swimming, which embodies her adventurous spirit. Her creative inclinations are evident as she often attends concerts and exhibitions, showing a deep appreciation for the arts, particularly theater and music. Olha’s devotion to literature and insatiable desire for knowledge give her the resilience to overcome life’s challenges, while at the same time finding joy and positivity in the smallest moments of life. She is also a talented singer and pianist, which adds depth to her character.
Above all, Olha’s greatest source of happiness is her precious moments spent with her beloved daughter, family and friends.

Кваліфікований філолог, Ольга Сенькович, закінчила Київський національний лінгвістичний університет у 2004 році. Вона вільно розмовляє українською, російською, англійською та польською мовами.
З 2004 року працювала викладачем у Національному авіаційному університеті на кафедрі іноземних мов. Допитливість та прагнення відкривати щось нове підштовхнуло її розпочати наукову діяльність і вступити до аспірантури, а 2012 року вона уже захистила кандидатську дисертацію з української мови і отримала ступінь кандидата наук з філології.
Згодом Ольга мала можливість попрацювати в Іспанії та США. Повернувшись в Україну, стала доцентом Львівської політехніки аж доки через війну не довелося приїхати до Калгарі. Саме тут вона спробувала свої сили у новій сфері – майже рік працювала в Miller Immigration Law Firm, де набула необхідних навичок як в адміністративній, так і юридичній сферах. Ольга має великий досвід не лише у викладанні іноземної мови для різних вікових категорій, але займається перекладами, волонтерською працею, допомагаючи, зокрема, українській громаді в питаннях іміграції, а також готує для клієнтів документи до нотаризації.
За межами офісу Ольга веде активний спосіб життя: любить подорожувати, кататися на велосипеді, плавати. Творча й амбітна, вона відвідує концерти та виставки, обожнює театр і музику. Захоплення книгами і прагнення до нових знань допомагає їй долати життєві труднощі та знаходити позитив і радість навіть у дрібницях. Ольга також малює, співає і грає на фортепіано. Найбільшою радістю для неї є приємне проведення часу із сім’єю та друзями.
