The acquisition marks a significant step in both the expansion of Osuji & Smith and the expansion of legal support for immigrants. This strategic move culminates in February, Black History Month, showcasing the significant commitment by Osuji & Smith to providing trustworthy and reliable legal services to those navigating the complexities of immigration.
Both Charles Osuji, CEO of Osuji & Smith Lawyers, and Rowan Fisher, Founder & Managing Lawyer of Fisher Law, are immigrants themselves, with a deep understanding of the intricacies and challenges faced by newcomers to Calgary, Alberta, and Canada. Their personal experiences fuel their dedication to creating an ecosystem of support, fostering success for immigrants in Canada.
Prior to the acquisition, Fisher Law’s unique approach has been integral in providing essential immigration knowledge and support to various organizations in Calgary, such as the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association, The Immigrant Education Society, the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, and Immigrant Services Calgary.

The acquisition, formalized on February 1, 2024, establishes Osuji & Smith’s desire to create a new Immigration Division at Osuji & Smith, with Fisher as the Managing Lawyer of the Division.
