Aniedi is a seasoned lawyer with a very practical approach to everything she does, both in and out of the work place. She brings over ten years of culturally and contextually diverse legal experience into her practice. Aniedi approaches every legal matter with the utmost sense of duty to see justice achieved for her clients. Her personal experience with legal proceedings, learned through the years, will often serve clients well through her careful assessment and analysis of issues, planning for anticipated developments and formulation of appropriate strategies, which in turn lead to desirable outcomes with significant cost savings for her clients.
Aniedi was born and raised in an oil-producing State in Nigeria. She grew up seeing her people suffer great injustice and deprivation in connection with the economic exploitation of their natural resource. Hence growing up, Aniedi’s desire was to seek out and understand how to tackle injustice and bring succour to the deprived and the defenceless. And for her the solution was deploying the mechanism of the law in a cost-effective manner to achieve justice. The dream of a legal career, for Aniedi, was thus born at a very young age.
Aniedi started her legal career in Nigeria in 2003 after obtaining a law degree and being called to the Nigerian Bar. As a barrister and solicitor with small and mid-sized firms, Aniedi successfully instituted and defended law suits against individuals and businesses and also participated in alternative dispute resolution processes. She later joined the public sector as Associate Counsel with the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory Administration, Abuja. In this position she provided legal and advisory services to the Administration on planning and policy matters, compliance and dispute resolution. She also handled research, general litigation and helped the Administration negotiate, draft and interpret contracts.
Having found love across the globe, Aniedi immigrated to Canada to join her husband. In the continued pursuit of her passion, she requalified and was subsequently admitted to the bar in Alberta in 2014. Aniedi’s practice areas include Real Estate, Litigation, Family Law, Business Law, Immigration Law, Employment Law, Personal Injury, Wills and Estates.
When not rendering legal services, Aniedi will be spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading extensively and listening to music. She is a regular volunteer with the Legal Aid program, Law Society of Alberta lawyer referral program, the Mustard Seed, the children’s department in her Church and with her community association.
Aniedi communicates fluently in English and has a basic knowledge of French.
Aniedi will be honored to work with you in the resolution of your legal issues. She will diligently strive to provide the best legal services that meet your needs in the most efficient way possible.
